Eyvind Gulbrandsen

Eyvind Gulbrandsen is a composer-in-residency with The South Iceland Chamber Choir. He has a diploma in composition from the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus, Denmark where he studied from 2000 – 2005. Eyvind demonstrates a strong ability to work with different music-genres as well as providing a fresh approach to the literary theme. He will develop his piece working with themed personal stories of the choir members, teased out using literary prompts, to create a sense of ownership of the music and lyrics they perform. Building on his experience of experimental delivery he will change the performance space - where the choir will perform amongst the audience rather than on a stage.
