Music Maze is a set of composing resources, each taking a different piece of contemporary classical music repertoire as their starting point. The workshop is intended for invited music classes and ends with a programmed public concert held at the open stage.

Music Maze is a set of composing resources, each taking a different piece of contemporary classical music repertoire as their starting point. The idea is not to recreate the original piece or a poor imitation but to use the composing strategies and processes of the composer and the piece as a way of supporting young people’s own composing.

This workshop ends with a free public concert, held on the stage at Riverside Terrace Café, Friday 29 September 02.00 pm.

The Music Maze workshop is for invited music school classes, year 4-6. The maximum number of participants is 30. Bring your own instrument if you have.
